About Us — Our Story
Over fifty years spent shaping fire by hand, in Bibbiano, near Reggio Emilia, Italy.
A workshop, not a factory
Bottega Del Fuoco Di Davoli E C. s.n.c. was founded in 1973 in Bibbiano, in the heart of Emilia-Romagna, a region with a long tradition in ceramic craftsmanship. Since then, we have never stopped doing the same thing: shaping fire through ceramic, one piece at a time, by hand before machine.
The name we chose for ourselves is no accident. "Bottega" — Italian for "workshop" — is exactly the right word: a place where the people working the material truly know it, where every stove that leaves our workshop has passed through the hands of someone who knows exactly what they're doing — not a product off an anonymous assembly line.
The craft, from casting to firing
We work ceramic using slip casting, the artisan technique handed down by Italian master ceramicists for generations. We select refractory clays and premium minerals, turn them into tested blends, and fire them at high temperature in computerised kilns — a balance between manual knowledge that can't be learned from books and technology that guarantees consistency and quality on every single piece.
The result is stoves built to last decades, not years: ceramic doesn't wear down, doesn't warp under heat, and stores the warmth of the fire to release it slowly, for hours, long after the embers have gone out.
By the numbers
Why choose Bottega del Fuoco
The ten variants, today
Our collection today includes ten variants across six stove families — Ambra, Caterina, Giada, Luna, Sirio and Venere, in their various forms — all certified 5-star under UNI EN 16510-2-1:2023, with 85.4% efficiency. Every stove can be customised in colour and finish: we remain an artisan workshop, and we treat every order as a bespoke piece, not a catalogue variant.
