Refractory ceramic pouf — QBO
A refractory ceramic pouf, shaped and glazed by hand in our workshop in Bibbiano, near Reggio Emilia, Italy. It isn't a stove: it's the same majolica as our wood stoves, in the shape of a cube, made to sit beside the fire and carry that material into the rest of the room.

A handmade ceramic pouf, made like our stoves
QBO is a pouf made from the same refractory ceramic we use to clad our stoves: same body, same glazes, same high-temperature firing. Sit on it, use it as a low side table, place it next to the stove — and the material comes back into the room without needing any explanation.
Refractory ceramic isn't afraid of heat, doesn't warp and doesn't scratch the way wood or painted metal does: it's the same material that, in our stoves, stores the heat of the fire and gives it back over hours. A cube 44 cm on each side and 45 kg in weight — solid, and it stays where you put it.
Like every piece that leaves our workshop, QBO is slip-cast, finished and glazed by hand: no two are ever identical, and the surface carries the marks of the craft. You can see and touch it at our showroom in Bibbiano Corniano, in the province of Reggio Emilia.
Choose it in the same colours as your stove, or play it against them: it's up to you.
